He has competed in various Midwest-based promotions, including the VFC, debuting at the UFC at UFC Fight Night 15. Versus Antônio Rogério Nogueira, (Portuguese pronunciation: [ɐ̃ˈtoniu ʁoˈʒɛɾiu noˈɡejɾɐ]; born June 2, 1976) is a professional mixed martial arts fighter from Brazil currently signed with the UFC. He is the twin brother of Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira (Minotauro). Rogério holds notable wins over Dan Henderson, Kazushi Sakuraba, Alistair Overeem, Guy Mezger, Vladimir Matyushenko and Luiz Cane. Also a proficient amateur boxer, he was the 2006 and 2007 Brazilian Super Heavyweight Champion. He also won a bronze medal in the 2007 Pan American Games.
