K-1 World MAX 2007 Final.Elimination Buakaw Por Pramuk vs. Nicky Holtzken
LOL 0:30 the music from “The Mummy”
i wanna see him and tony jaa
@TUKTUKSTUEY For win against Buakaw, you have to be very fast and aggressive ! Buakaw got an excellent cardio and is very powerful. If you don’t try to tire him, you’re done
i guess fighters will only stay skilled for only a few years, everyone ages, that sucks
0:31 to 0:46 LOL “the mummy 3″ music
lol… Holtzken sucks
yeah ok, some fughters have one style and not much variation. maybe holzken is one of those fighters. he matches up good enough against other fighters and you have to say it quite unlucky to keep meeting buakaw early.
nicky didnt take anything from this fight!! buakaw did the exact same last year.. which makes me think nicky has not got a good fighting brain!! sorry to say.. and yes just do enough to win dont pick up damage or use up to much energy.. but i think the k1 bosses fixed the win for souwer last year,,buakaw did the same just do enough. petro was next,, be a while before you will have another dekker again..
good luck on your voyage.
about this fight, i think Buakaw fought Nicky in a smart way, little risk for injury or Ko. i can assure you, that he didnt fight like this becus he wanted to be friendly. but yeah, he took him to school, i hope Holzken learns from this cuz he’s a very good fighter with a 64-8 record who beat allot of top fighters. He just couldnt handle Buakaw’s gameplan
any farang going to thailand to learn muay thai.. is going to get there arse kicked..!! love to see buakaw on top form again!!.. like him to come to the u.k or go to the states learn more about boxing. carry his hand higher!!!.. he carries them very low now.. not good!!.. if his at the camp when im there i try and get some new footage!!!. after ive like my wounds LOL
yes the did change the rules cuz Buakaw could approach K1 in a Muay Thai way. It was the logical thing to do, take the clinch out of the equation. Having said that, i dont think it was the clinch that won Buakaw his first K1max title, it was the shear hardness and agression with which he fought, he just went through them like heavy bags. He just never got back to that level.
oh yeah, let me know if you got your arse kicked in thailand..lol
1.56 how easy was that!!!
2.29 how easy was that!!!
4.09 how easy was that!!!
good job buakaw didnt open a can of whoop arse on nicky!!! .. think he was being kind to nicky!!
what you on about!!! .. K1 bosses limit buakaw fighting skills.. after he tore throught the jap fighters & there golen boy masato.. k1 bosses fix it.. open your eyes.. why did masato start training for souwer back in july.. before he even fought buakaw.. how did he know souwer would beat buakaw!!! as for clinches im at por. pramuk in april i let you know!!
ill repeat it again, K1 isnt Muay Thai. thats why they changed the rules. They didnt want a throwing match or thai oriented fighters going into clinch because they have no other defence against a good K1 fighter with boxing skills, Clincing is ruled to be passive behaviour and thats how it should be in K1, go watch thai boxing if you want to see that.
ramon dekker trained nicky WOW what went wrong!! LOL wondered why dekker wasnt in nickys corner for the second buakaw nicky fight.. dekker must of thought i aint got nothing to work with here.. if buakaw can throw & trip him on his arse that easy.. i thought buakaw was just warming up!!!
petro loss at lumpinee..to nonthanan por. pramuk.. K1 bosses fix it to much.. as they did with buakaw.. they change the rules just before the buakaw souwer fight 2009 to favour souwer..
any european fighter going in against buakaw,, yods,, saenchai under full thai rules would never win.. LOL there just toooooooooooo goooooooooooood..
@lloolliippopp then why didn’t you fight in the war?
holland and the best fighters in the world xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
wow, couldnt they sue K1 for discrimation for limiting them? (unless they limit anyone else), seems out of order if they do that
line-up
Khalid Bourdif (KB Arnhem) vs Yodsaenklai Fairtex
Mosab Amrani (Team Slamm!!) vs Bovy Sor Udomson
Mootje Khamal (Vos Gym) vs Anuwat Kaewsamrit
Warren Stevelmans (Vos Gym) vs Saiyok Pumphangmuang
Well saenchai had his last foreign fight tonight so he wont be at SLAMM. I’ve seen Nico Verresen fight and spent some time training with him in Thaialand and as much as i like him both in the ring and personally, he should never have been in the ring with saenchai lol. Same with Rob Storey tonight and Liam Harrison last year.
i just like to see my countrymen win, i dont care for what flag they fight or under which rules. Thats why i find it f#cked up Holzken keep meeting Buakaw in the early stages. I personally think he has it in him to make the final. Well, we will see.
Anyways, Slamm 6 is comming up end of the month. Holland vs Thailand, with full muay thai rules. to be honest, i think its going to be difficult because the thai come with a very strong delegation.
I’m not saying its not good for the sport. I know exactly why K1 has been succesful. not the least because it’s technically an open tournament.
I personally prefer Thai rules because I see it as the most comprehensive set of striking rules available. I’m not making a comparison of the sports. I merely think the thais are the best all round strikers in the world. Not because they’re super at any one thing. but because they excel under looser rulesets.
I think that under this rule-set Thais are less a threat then you might expect. Your right, the scoring and rules are not in their favor but then again why should it be in their favour?
K1 was meant to be fast and explosive with the 3 round format.
if k1 allows clinching, not only the thais do it, but also the other fighters who suck at it. or use it to catch their breath many fights would be ugly. no ko’s.
despite of the reason why they changed the rules, its good for the sport…
