Yeah, that and the fact that in boxing people take only punches, so it takes longer to knock them out with more blows, whereas in MMA, it rarely lasts that long, since they’re usually knocked out by a kick or knee or tapped out by then, which leads to much less damage over the long run.

I appreciate that Jesse Ventura supports mma. It’s my favorite sport, and it really says something that someone from the older generation views it as an art form rather than human cockfighting. I’m glad I saw this interview.

You are definitely in the right direction, and what most fight fans probably feel as well. But you still have a good amount of boxing fans that just can’t accept this sport, and degrade it for the sake of making boxing look better. I think they are completely different sports, and I appreciate a true fight fan. And I have always been a huge boxing fan, but MMA is the new age of fighting.

Why people love it, is because it is just like how people fight in real life. They to don’t just box, they box, wrestle, kick and do just about any type of martial arts. And Jesses last line is fucking hilarious. And Ufc is a lot safer then boxing.

Yep, The Body is the man, and he explained the safety gap between MMA and boxing, which is not easy to see, you see someone get knocked out by a head kick or ground n pounded out, it looks alot worse, but, the repeated blows to the head, knockdown, up at 8 over n over is much worse. If you need more than 2 maybe 3 seconds to recover in an mma match it’s over…unless mazzagati’s sorry ass is ref.

people who compare boxing and mma are dumb and to think that one is better than the other…i think if you’re a true fan of a sport that matches two persons’ strength and skills you gotta like both. i just dont see these two sports as incomparable, both can be really boring and both can be really intense in their own respective rights depending on whose fighting.
